Your Privacy Matters
At RawImageConverter, we take your privacy extremely seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services. Please read this policy carefully. By using RawImageConverter, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We are committed to collecting the minimum amount of information necessary to operate and improve our service. Here is exactly what we collect:
Cookies and similar tracking technologies used by Google AdSense for advertising (see 'Cookies' section below for full details)
Basic anonymized analytics data such as page views, browser type, device category, and general geographic region (not precise location) - collected via privacy-respecting analytics
Information you voluntarily provide through email communications, including your email address and any details you choose to share with us
Language preferences stored locally in your browser to provide a consistent experience
Information We DO NOT Collect
We want to be explicitly clear about what we do NOT collect:
Your uploaded images - all image processing happens locally in your browser. Your files never reach our servers.
Personal identification information (name, address, phone number)
Account credentials - we do not offer user accounts, so we never store passwords or login information
Payment information - our service is completely free with no paid tiers
Precise location data, browsing history on other sites, or sensitive personal information
No File Uploads - Core Architectural Principle
This is the most important thing to understand about RawImageConverter: All image conversion processing happens locally in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your image files are never uploaded to our servers. They never leave your device. This is not just a privacy feature - it is a core architectural principle of our platform. We deliberately designed the entire system around client-side processing so that your files remain under your control at all times. Even if we wanted to access your images, we physically cannot - they never reach our infrastructure.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
RawImageConverter uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for the following purposes. We believe in transparent disclosure of all cookie usage:
Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our site. AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing history. This includes Google's DoubleClick cookie and other advertising identifiers. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
Analytics: We use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns - which pages are most popular, how users navigate our site, and how we can improve the user experience. This data is anonymized and does not identify individual users.
Essential/Functional Cookies: Some cookies are strictly necessary for the basic functioning of the website, such as remembering your selected language preference during your session.
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings menus
Google Ads Settings: You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com
Network Advertising Initiative: Visit https://optout.networkadvertising.org for industry-wide opt-out options
Cookie Consent: On your first visit, you may see a cookie consent notice allowing you to make choices about non-essential cookies
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate and improve RawImageConverter. Each service has its own privacy policy governing data handling:
Google AdSense: For serving contextual and personalized advertisements. Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings page.
Cloudflare Pages: For website hosting, content delivery network (CDN) services, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes minimal request metadata (IP address, browser type, requested pages) to deliver content efficiently. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
GitHub: For source code hosting, version control, and issue tracking. Our public repository on GitHub does not collect any personal information from visitors.
Data Retention
We retain minimal data:
Anonymized analytics data is retained for a period of 26 months, after which it is automatically aggregated and individual data points are deleted
Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to address your inquiry and for record-keeping purposes
Cookie data is managed according to each cookie's expiration period as set by the respective service (typically 30 days to 2 years for advertising cookies)
